Simple Kanji Flashcards app for iPhone and iPad

Learning kanji starting with 来, 週, 行 and 今? If so, this is the app for you.

There are dozens of kanji apps, but most teach you in the order favoured by the Japanese education system - which is quite different to the one often used when teaching English speakers. Simple Kanji Flashcards groups the kanji in the order youll recognise, starting with 来 and 週.

The app includes 384 kanji and common words using those kanji, so for example you can study 来, 来る and 来週 as separate cards, separated into five key groups. You choose the items to study by adding them individually, by group or all at once.

English translations are simplified, using only the common translation youre likely to learn at first, and hiragana readings are included where appropriate.

Two study methods are available:

Revision: an unending stream of cards, from English to Kanji or Kanji to English.

Test: Run through your deck of cards, marking the ones you know and the ones you dont. Unknown cards are repeated until you know them all. The number of correct answers required to pass a card can be chosen from 1 to 10.
